About Mrs. Boyd

My husband, Brett, and I have two daughters. Emily is in 11th grade. She loves reading shopping, listening to music and spending time with friends. Caitlin is in sixth grade this year.  Caitie loves playing soccer, learning to cook, anything active but she also loves shopping and painting her nails.   I love to tell stories about my girls and our adventures together.  I write stories about them all the time. “Mr. Boyd” is a teacher too. He teaches technology classes at a middle school in Meriden. He LOVES the Red Sox and the Patriots!  We have two Golden Retrievers named Chloe and Maisy.  Chloe is a silly, fun dog who makes us laugh often.  Her favorite activities are fetching and swimming.  Maisy is a love bug, and is happiest when she is cuddling with her family!  I love everything about first grade, I can’t pick a favorite time of day. I love seeing readers grow through class conversations, writers grow through lots and lots of practice, mathematicians grow through partner work and strategy sharing, and scientists grow through exploration, imagination and getting hands a little dirty! (:
